Welcome to Kernville Vacation Homes

The vacation rental business has been a big part of our lives starting in 2012.

Ever since then, we have always chosen to spend our vacations in homes over hotels. Thrilled to bring you two of the Kernville-area homes that our team has picked just for you. Our homes are minutes away from Kernville town center, minutes from the river, and a short drive to the lake.

Why Kernville?

The majority of our team (Christine and Cassandra) are Kernville locals. Andrew used to travel and fell in love with the area. We often block off these homes to stay on our own, get tother for birthdays or just to spend some quality time with family and friends.

Kernville takes its roots to the 1858 gold rush, caused by the discovery of the Big Blue Mine nearby, which led to the formation of a town on the flats along the Kern River. Briefly called Rogersville it was renamed Whiskey Flat in 1863 after a saloon opened in the previously “dry” town. Since then Whiskey Flat is the annual celebration of the area’s Wild West roots. A few years after that it was renamed to Kernvlille. 

There are a lot of activities and attractions in the valley, but you can’t beat the river, take a walk and enjoy amazing views. We look forward to discussing your next adventure and helping with your stay as much as we can.
